Love for the soil over profits; Ex-Soldier Refurbishes Fields In Peralam

(KasargodVartha) Once upon a time, the field of Peralam was a land where golden coloured paddy stalks and golden coloured cucumbers used to grow in abundance. But with the passage of time, the fields remained barren for many years without cultivation. Ramachandran Vadakkini, a farmer, spent his childhood witnessing and experiencing a vibrant agrarian culture with the melody and harvest of Njattupattu. It was that umbilical cord connection with the soil that prompted him to put aside his books of profit and loss and re-cultivate gold in the barren land.
