KASARGODVARTHA: A 48-year-old man who had ridden his scooter to the clinic to see a doctor after complaining of chest pain collapsed and died. The deceased has been identified as M Balakrishnan (48), son of Gopalan of Mandebittu House in Adoor. The tragic incident took place at around 10 am on Friday (August 28). Balakrishnan, a mason, had gone to work in the morning. Balakrishnan collapsed as soon as he reached the health centre in Mandebittu on his scooter after he complained of chest pain at work.

Kasargod: The ADM has completed the investigation into the death of Ashalatha (41), a senior clerk in the Collectorate and submitted the report to District Collector Arjun Pandian. The main finding of the investigation report is that Ashalatha’s death was not due to work pressure or transfer. According to the report, Ashalatha had been suffering from severe depression for the past five years. Ashalatha, who had consumed rat poison mixed in ice cream at the Collectorate, died while undergoing treatment. The report submitted to the district collector will be handed over to the revenue commissioner soon for further action.
